Panama City Beach Motorcycle Collision Injures Passenger And Pedestrian
On the morning of October 24th, officers at the Panama City Beach Police Department responded to a motorcycle-pedestrian traffic accident on South Thomas Drive near Alvin’s Island. When they arrived at the scene, officers located two female victims, an uninjured male, and a 2000 red Yamaha motorcycle.
After investigating, officers found that the motorcycle was driven by Byron Foster Taylor of Fountain, Florida, and was traveling eastbound on South Thomas Drive when he left the roadway on a curve prior to the intersection. He traveled onto the sidewalk and struck a 44-year-old female pedestrian from Pennsylvania, then continued eastbound through brush and came to rest in the grass south of the sidewalk.
Police say at some point, Taylor and his female passenger, a 49-year-old from Gainesville, Florida, were ejected from the motorcycle. The two injured females were transported to Bay Medical Center with serious injuries. Their identities are currently being withheld. Taylor was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license and for having no motorcycle endorsement. The crash is under investigation by the Traffic Homicide Unit and further charges are pending.

Motorcycle accidents, as well as pedestrian accidents, almost always result in severe injuries.
