Florida Dog Released to His Owner on Friday After Biting Incident

The fate of Padi the dog, a black lab mix that allegedly bit a 4-year-old boy in the veterinary office of Dr. Gartenburg, will be decided by a judge in circuit court sometime in the near future. Until that time, Padi has been released to the care of Dr. Gartenburg, who is Padi’s owner, with several restrictions including that Padi can only be around children when supervised and that ‘beware of dog’ signs were posted around Dr. Gartenburg’s home.

Central Florida Man Saves Neighbor from Dog Attack

Lorenzo Smith was at home last Friday, when he says he heard his neighboring screaming. When he went to investigating he found his neighbor, 82-year-old Nigel Bailey trying to protect his two small dogs from a pit bull attack. Mr. Bailey was out walking his dogs when the pit bull ran up and attacked. Smith ran into his house and grabbed a shot gun, returned outside and fatally shot the dog.

Seminole County Officials Plan to Euthanize Dog That Bit Waitress in Oviedo

Florida Pit Bull Shot and Killed after Attacking Two People

The owner of a pit bull shot and killed his dog recently after it attacked him and his son when they tried to break up a fight with another dog. Orange County authorities say that the pit bull and another dog were fighting at a home on Forsyth Road around 5:30 p.m. when the pit bull’s owner intervened to break up the fight. Both the owner and his adult son were attacked by the pit bull during the scuffle. The owner’s wife saw the dog attack and armed herself to protect her husband and son but her attempts to shoot the animal were unsuccessful. The owner then took the gun from his wife and killed the dog before being taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Palm Bay Woman Injured in Dog Bite Attack

A Brevard County woman was taken to the hospital recently after being attacked by a pack of three dogs that belong to a neighbor. The 53-year-old victim was walking near her home in the 3200-block of Hainlin Avenue in Palm Bay when she was attacked by the dogs and badly injured. Police report that she suffered multiple bite wounds, including cuts and deep bruises to the upper portion of her body. A neighbor who witnessed the dog bite attack ran to help the lady by scaring off the dogs and using a shovel to protect the victim until emergency responders arrived on the scene.
