Home Destroyed by Sudden Fire in Orange County

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on April 21, 2021

Members of the Orange County Fire Department found themselves rushing to private residence during the second week of April, arriving at a scene of comparative carnage as an aggressive fire ripped through a structure located along Shoreline Drive, close to the popular Universal Studios theme park. Reports from the Orange County Fire Rescue teams indicated that the first calls arrived at the station sometime during the afternoon on Sunday, April 11th. Promptly after receiving the call, fire rescue teams were rushing to the area in an effort to save as much property and human life from damage as possible.

As mentioned above, when they arrived at the private residence, which was located along a stretch of Shoreline Drive that stands close to Turkey Lake Road, they found the home almost totally consumed by fire. Flames were gushing from smoke-blackened windows and pouring out of the home’s roof. It is reported that at 3:00 in the afternoon, close to when the emergency crews arrived, the fire was still very much active. The goal of the emergency response crews at that point became to preserve the surrounding structures and homes from similarly erupting in flames. To this end, Orange County Fire Rescue crews worked both to suppress the flames at the original building, as well as created a solid perimeter around the burning structure in order to prevent the fire from spreading outward and affecting even more homes.

Hours later, the flames were finally extinguished. At the time of this writing, much of the investigation remains underway. It is not known how many people lived in the home, or even if any of them were inside at the time of the fire. Also unknown is what exactly caused the blaze to ignite in the first place. Reports from officials within Orange County stated that a large storm front had swept through the area shortly before the fire was reported, but no concrete evidence has emerged at this time to link the house fire to the weather events.

The investigation remains underway, with officials taking care to leave open every option when it comes to pinpointing the exact cause of the devastating fire.
