Passenger in Last Week’s Orlando Head-On Collision Dies
A 23 year old female who was severely injured in a fire-filled two vehicle crash in the Orlando area last week has died. The death follows that of a 28 year old Melbourne, Florida male who died at the scene. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the female died at Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was being treated since the incident last week.
According to a FHP spokesperson, the crash remains under investigations, with charges pending. What is known is that the head-on crash occurred at 2:30 on a Friday morning at the well-known dark intersection of Malabar and Weber roads. The accident report list a 21 year old Orlando native as driving a 2011 Jeep westbound on Malabar Road, with the 23 year old female as the passenger. For an as of yet unknown reason, the driver veered into the eastbound lanes, where they collided with the oncoming 2001 Honda being driven by the 28 year old Melbourne native – who was killed upon impact. The driver of the Jeep was also injured and remains in the hospital.

- Passing on a two-lane road
- Sudden lane changes in order to avoid construction or a stopped vehicle
