Two independent agencies, Outsource America in Bradenton and Suncoast Opinion Surveys in St. Petersburg, then process, vet and count the ballots. - One point for votes they receive from other attorneys who work in the same law firm
- Three points for votes from attorneys who work in other law firms
After tabulation of the votes, a panel of previous Legal Elite winners from different parts of Florida who represent different practice areas examines the list of top vote recipients. They evaluate the selection process and the candidates based on membership status and their professional histories provided by the Florida Bar. Of the 64,000 members of the Florida Bar, less than two percent receive this prestigious award each year.
