Wrong Way Driving Leads to Deadly Crashes in Broward Florida
On Thursday two wrong way crashes happened within just hours of each other in Broward, Florida, leaving one person dead and four others injured.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal crash involved a red Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike. At some point, near Lauderhill, the pickup truck lost control and rolled several times.
Teenager in Stolen Truck Causes Three Separate Florida Auto Accidents
The Gainesville Sun recently described a teenager accused of stealing a truck owned by the State of Florida and causing three separate crashes on University Avenue. After causing the last of the accidents, the teen was rushed to Shands at the University of Florida for emergency surgery, but was expected to survive his injuries. One other person injured in the crash was hospitalized with injuries described as non-life threatening in the third truck accident that occurred at 100 E. University Avenue at 3:30 p.m.
