Patterson Road fatal car accident
Multiple Car Crashes in Haines City Leaves Two Dead and Many Injured
On Monday, around 4:00 in the afternoon, five vehicles were involved in a violent and deadly accident on U.S. Highway 27 close to Patterson Road, in Haines City. The crash was instigated by a 2012 black Mazda CX9, driven by the Winter Haven resident Melvalin Powell Bryan, which was driving north on Highway 27 when it suddenly swerved into the southbound lanes. According to the report filed by the Assistant Police Chief Brian McNulty, Bryan’s Mazda proceeded to side-swipe a black 2008 Lexus before colliding with a white 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Due to the impact, the Elantra plowed into the next lane, was hit in the right rear by a 2015 Toyota Camry, and then flipped onto the Camry’s hood.
