Two Deputies Injured in Lake County Crash

In Lake County, two deputies and an unnamed motorist were injured when a fourth driver, also unnamed, collided with them near Four Corners. According to a statement issued by Florida Highway Patrol Spokesperson Trooper Steven Montiero, the accident occurred around 4:30 in the afternoon, close to where U.S. 27 and Golden Eagle Boulevard intersect. The two deputies were on duty, in separate patrol cars, and had each stopped to help the third motorist who was having car problems. Both of the patrol cars were on the shoulder of the road, and both had engaged their emergency lights.
