It’s that time of year again, the annual 2013 Biketoberfest is ready to begin at Daytona Beach in Florida. Running from Oct 17th to October 20th, this is the biggest biker fest on the Atlantic coast with plenty of live entertainment, bike shows, tour rides, professional and amateur races, and hundreds of food and apparel vendors. From the sandy beaches of Daytona to the festivals on Main Street, there are plenty of activities for bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts from all walks of life. Along the Beachside section of town, visit the Boardwalk Classic Bike show, or view the festivities from the sky in the historic Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Fresh seafood like you’ve never tasted before will be offered from a variety of vendors.
Down on Beach Street on the mainland, you can see early Harley Davidson’s at the Museum Store at Daytona Harley-Davidson, or the fine German engineered bikes at BMW Ducati Triumph of Daytona. Plus, ROAR will have special vendors and events just for women and Carl’s Speed Show will be doing computer DYNO installation. Don’t forget to swing by Riverfront Park for some entertainment, and Barney’s Leather for a new outfit.
Midtown is the place to experience a number of unique vendors, as all the shops in the Second Avenue Merchants Association will be showing off their wares. Down on Main Street, you can fraternize with the locals or just kick back and people-watch at the Full Moon Saloon, Dirty Harry’s, or 316 Main Street Saloon. Get some jewelry at Tombstone Silverworks, or visit the iconic Humphrey & Son’s.

Remember, the Biketoberfest Development Committee works hard to keep the peace between residents and riders, so please refrain from any excessive blasting or burnouts.
