Orange County Hit-and-Run Crash Leaves Two Car Pile-Up

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on January 28, 2018

An Orange County Family was surprised early on Tuesday morning at close to 5:30am when they awoke to the sound of squealing tires and crashing from their front driveway. When they jumped out of bed and ran outside, they were surprised to see that their two cars, both of which normally stay on the outside of the garage, were stacked one on top of the other. Pictures from the scene of the incident show two sedans in a residential driveway, one maroon and one white. The hood, front windshield, and some of the white car’s front roof are all underneath the rear of the maroon sedan. The back of the white sedan is mangled and a bumper belonging to a third vehicle, presumably the one responsible for this incident, is left behind in the grass.

Police with the Orange County Police Department were called to the scene on Reddit Road to investigate. When they arrived, they found the two cars just as described and the family in a rattled, but physical stable place. While an investigation into the incident is currently underway, police are treating this as a hit-and-run situation and are looking into possible connections with alcohol or drugs which might have caused the driver of the absent car to either lose control of their vehicle or simply forget what they were doing. In this moment, they veered off of the roadway and into the driveway. One of the cars was struck and wedged underneath the other, both badly damaged.

The driver of the car responsible for this incident fled the scene after the collision, but, as was mentioned earlier, they did forget a souvenir. A bumper belonging to the car believed to be behind the hit-and-run was discovered behind the white sedan. Members of the Florida’s Highway Patrol are now looking into whether or not this one bumper will give them enough information to narrow down the list of possible suspects. It is believed that the bumper matches the kind normally found on Nissan, specifically the trucks produced and sold by this company. Facts such as this make it possible to find and capture those behind dangerous and damaging crashes such as the one described above.
