Man Killed When Car Drives Off State Road 408

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on May 18, 2017

On Tuesday night, a 25-year-old man named Brian Javier Fernandez Esles was driving down State Road 408 when he crashed into a cluster of retaining barrels and lost control of his vehicle. The Florida Highway Patrol released a statement discussing the particulars of this incident as they are currently known, however the investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident is still very much ongoing. According to the current report, after Esles crashed into the barrels at around 7:40 in the evening, his car flew off of the State Road 408 ramp and landed on its roof beside Magnolia Avenue.

Emergency response crews arrived at the scene as quickly as possible, however there was nothing that they could do to help the fatally injured Esles. He was declared to be dead at the scene, which was located between State Road 408 and Orange Avenue.

No other drivers were involved in the crash and no one else was in Elses’ vehicle when the crash occurred. As of this writing, the only individual believed to be in any way directly involved in the accident is Esles himself. This, of course, leaves investigators with questions regard the accident and its causes. Why did Esles suddenly lose control of his vehicle? What happened that made this young man take his eyes off of the road? Unfortunately, we may never know the answers to all of these questions, and this means that the loved ones Esles leaves behind may never have all the facts to put as much closure on this case as they can.

Accidents such as this one happen almost every week in Florida. Sometimes more people are involved, sometimes more fatalities, and sometimes everyone is able to walk away from the accident. Either way, when a crash takes place it results in damage that is often not identifiable at first glance. For one thing, the destruction wrought upon the vehicle itself often means that a person is no longer able to get themselves to work. Wage loss is often one of the most devastating components to an accident, and one that frequently compounds the already difficult situation.
