Early Morning Crash in Florida on I-4

A crash on westbound Interstate 4 has westbound traffic snarled to a stop, according to officials. The crash occurred around 7:20 this morning. At this time, no injuries are being reported. The Florida Highway Patrol is working to get westbound traffic flowing again, but for now the pace is a slow crawl.

Hundreds of motorists every year are involved in collisions while commuting along Florida’s highways and interstates. The greatest contributing factor in many of these incidents is distracted driving. Loud music, passengers, and even wandering thoughts take away from the capacity of the driver to attend to the task at hand. The added strain of extra vehicles on the road make commuting time especially dangerous. On top of that, most commuters are in a hurry to get to the office. It is no wonder that the morning and evening commute produce more accidents that any other time on the road.

Motor vehicles accidents are among the top cause of injury and death for adults in the United States. With the focus the Florida Highway Patrol places on attentive driving, it is still sometimes not enough. Severe accidents can cripple and kill. Any victim of a severe auto accident know that the physical suffering and mental anguish an injury can cause will take its toll. Medical bills for physical and mental rehabilitation can become extremely expensive. Job loss from a permanent disability causes may families to lose their standard of living, and may have to scrape by on assistance.

As overwhelming as a severe or permanent injury can be, there is help available. At the Law Offices of James O. Cunningham, we are here to listen and provide support. The consultation is always free and you may be entitled to compensation. Please give us a call at 877-FL-INJURY (877-354-6587).
