Brandon Woman Charged for Darwin Car Accident
Although the accident happened nearly four months ago, a Brandon, Florida woman was charged with two counts of criminal vehicular operation, gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation and misdemeanor no proof of insurance. Twenty-eight year old Noelle Pridgen was charged after test came back showing she was under the influence of cocaine and THC.
The accident happened last April, when Ms. Pridgen failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of US Highway 12 and County Road 14 in Darwin. Her vehicle slammed into another vehicle carrying the Crottier family, who were on their way home from seeing a movie together. The impact was devastating, totaling the Crottier’s Dodge Magnum, with witnesses saying that the logo from Pridgen’s tires was actually visible on the passenger side of the Crottier’s vehicle. The husband and two kids were able to escape from the vehicle before it burst into flames, however his wife and the children’s mother was not so lucky. Chrissy Crottier, 36, was declared dead at the scene.
Billy Crottier suffered several broken ribs, numerous cuts and bruises and a concussion resulting from a traumatic brain injury. According to police reports, he also continues to suffer from ongoing pain in his neck. His son, seven year old Zachary, also suffered from broken ribs, a concussion and numerous cuts and bruises. Three year old Alexis came away with cuts and bruises.
Ms. Pridgen, along with a passenger in her vehicle, 20 year old Tamya Hill, were also seriously injured in the car accident and received treatment from Hennepin County Medical Center. Pridgen awaits trial at the Meeker County Jail, where she is being held on a $250,000 cash or bail bond conditional bail.
