Four-Year-Old Girl Severely Injured in Amusement Park Accident

By Orlando Personal Injury Attorney on November 18, 2009

The Orlando Sentinel reported that an Orlando amusement park accident severely injured a four-year-old girl. According to eyewitnesses, the girl was riding in a golf cart with her father at Disney’s Fort Wilderness when the golf cart overturned, partially pinning the girl underneath and causing serious injuries. The article reports that the Orlando amusement park accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when the girl’s 37-year-old father swerved to avoid colliding with another golf cart that was heading towards them with no lights on.

The Big Pine Key man and his daughter were vacationing in the area, according to officials with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses say that when the golf cart overturned, the girl ejected from the cart, pinned beneath it and suffered serious injuries to her head, face and neck. After the amusement park accident, she was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital and rushed into surgery. The girl remained in stable condition and no charges were pending at the time of the article publication.
